UPDATE: Blue Green Algae Treatment and Testing
We have the preliminary test results from Aquatic Control, Lake Holiday Results came back as Negative to toxins. The negative results were due to the fast action of treatment that was completed in that area on Tuesday. LAKE NEBO test results came back today with an Increased levels of Blue Green Toxins. So, at this time, Please DO NOT allow dogs to swim off of the NEBO RAMP until further notice. We will be treating that area today and will follow up testing accordingly. Swimming, Fishing is ok,, And as always Please Do not Drink any lake water. Tina Thrasher

I have a preliminary report from Aquatic Control for the testing around the lakes. The sample from the Lake Holiday Ramp on Saturday September 21st shows an increase in blue green algae. The levels are NOT at the Toxic levels, but they do advise against dogs playing in and around that cove area.
The treatment recommendation is to use Cultrine Ultra in that area, and it was also recommended to use it around the Lake Nebo ramp area. I have checked with Bud and his volunteers, they will get that treatment done as soon as possible. We will follow up with Aquatic Control, they did say that with the evening temperature getting cooler that they are very certain that it will not spread or get into a bloom. Thank You' Tina Thrasher We are still compiling information to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of PH.
