Painted Hills Association Members,
Steve Hoffman, our new Security Officer wanted our members to be aware of the rash of break-ins that have occurred recently, in the Morgan, Brown & Bartholomew County area. At present, we are unaware of any break-ins in the Painted Hills Subdivision, but Steve thought the more eyes we have in the area, the better chance we have of protecting our property. Steve gave a description of two vehicles: A blue 2003 Chevy Cavalier and an older red Ford Ranger (rusted)with wooden slats in the truck bed but any suspicious vehicle should be reported. The thieves target times are between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. but we should be vigilant throughout the day. A female (early 20’s) apparently drives the neighborhood, drops off a male(early 30’s) who breaks in. If you see anything suspicious, please report to Security. If you see a crime being committed, call the Morgan Sheriff’s Dept immediately. Bud Lammers Painted Hills Security 342-9911 318-0598 (cell) Morgan County Sheriff 911 Just a reminder to our members who are boat owners , the length limit on our lakes here at Painted Hills is 28 ft for pontoons and 22 ft for all other boats.
While our lakes are very nice for the average boater, it does get very crowded on weekends and anything larger than the above mentioned can create congestion and cause large wakes that can be destructive to other boats and shorelines. If you are thinking about buying a boat, new or used, Keep those length limits in mind As a result of the fund-raising efforts by all the members of the Entertainment Committee we have been able to go ahead and install a kitchen downstairs in the clubhouse. This kitchen will be used for all entertainment functions, including the hog roast, monthly breakfasts, breakfast with Santa etc. We are also going to offer the kitchen for rent to private parties for a small fee - all fees raised from the kitchen rental will be put back into the entertainment fund for future projects (new foldaway tables and chairs for the lower level of the clubhouse & new lighting downstairs).
We are hoping that by making this kitchen available for rent that it will entice people to rent the lower level of the clubhouse more. In saying this we want to "jazz" it up a little bit and are asking the community to donate photos or artwork of events or scenery in Painted Hills to hang on the walls. We would like all photos to be at least 8"x10" and framed. If you want to try and sell your photography or artwork please put a price on it along with your name and phone number. If you want your photos or artwork returned to you, please put your name and phone number on the back. |
