To answer the questions that many of you have posed concerning the lowering of Lake Nebo and removal of boats;  the original plan was to begin lowering Lake Nebo on Sept 10th.  Since the Dept of Natural Resources has not yet given final approval to the plans for upgrading the Nebo Spillway, lowering Lake Nebo will probably not begin quite that soon.  However,  due to lack of rain, it is getting more difficult to take boats out at the Nebo Ramp.  If you plan to take your boat off Lake Nebo, you still should do it soon .
