Permit fee: $20.00
Process:
Step 1: familiarize yourself with the Painted Hills regulations
Step 2: obtain copy of your plot plan and mark your project on the plan
Step 3: fill out application and submit for review
Step 4: meet with Architecture committee member and obtain approvals. Pay permit fee.
Step 5: after completion of your project, call Architecture Committee member for inspection and final sign-off
Note that the homeowner is responsible for all permits, regulations, and inspections required by Morgan County and/or other governmental entities.
Refer to Handbook section 14 for all applicable rules for your project.

E. FENCING
- Fencing may be approved for placing within the property line of a residence. Yards may no be enclosed entirely by fences. Decorative fences which do not exceed three (3) feet in height may be approved for lot line definition or decorative accents. Open wood fences, split rail, or other fencing may contain such wire as is necessary to contain pets. For approval, a fence must be aesthetically pleasing and also must be agreeable to adjacent residents.
- Before submitting a plan for fencing, please contact adjacent residents and have the plans signed by each.
- All construction debris, trees, materials, etc., must be cleaned up before deposit is returned.
- Final grade and start of groundcover must be completed before deposit is returned.
- Permits are issued for a period of 6 months; one extension of 6 months can be applied for without penalty.
